was established by the Govt of Odisha in the year 1981, it became a constituent college of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology in 2002.
Spread over a 100 acre techno-campus in Kalinga Nagar, CET is an autonomous college that is Grade "A" accredited by NAAC and achieved the NBA accreditation for 4 of its UG courses.
The college offers UG B.Tech courses in range of engineering subjects, PG M.Tech courses, MCA and also integrated courses.
Admissions are based on merit and students need to have a descent score in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Entrance Test.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
Hostel facility is provided by the college. Hostels are situated inside the campus of the college. Beds and almirah are installed in the rooms and also have attached bathrooms.
Housekeeping staff clean the rooms every day. Besides this, the students who reside in the hostel are also offered many facilities.
Campus facility
The campus of the college is vast and offers facilities like computing facilities, wifi enabled campus, classrooms, gym, Power Electronics and Drives Laboratory, Central Workshop Mechanical, Instrumentation laboratory, Microbiology and Fermentation Laboratory, Physics Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, Communication Systems & Signal Processing Laboratory, Scanning Electron Microscope facility, Fitting Shop and many more.

Every year the college organizes some events such as annual sports day, college cricket tournament, ‘PERCEPTION’, ‘SANNIDHYA’ the technical fests, and Xtasy the annual cultural fest.
