Symbiosis Institute Of Computer Studies And Research (SICSR) Pune

The Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) is located in Pune. It was established in 1985. It was one of the first institutes in the state to provide computer education. It is a constituent college under Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

The institute offers five courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Undergraduate programs include BCA, BCA (Honours) and BBA (IT). The postgraduate programs include MSc (CA), MBA (IT) and MBA (DT).

SICSR is affiliated with Symbiosis International University. The institute has received approval from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Facilities at SICSR include a Math Lab, Academic Zone, AV Lab, Auditorium, five computer labs, two audio-visual halls, on-campus Wi-Fi and a canteen.

For admission undergraduate students are selected based on the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). Postgraduate admissions are based on the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). 

SICSR received a ranking of 10 for Overall by India Today in 2021. It ranked 2 among BCA colleges by India Today and Outlook in 2022.

SICSR has a successful placement season recently. The highest salary package offered reached INR 90 LPA in 2023. Important recruiters included Amazon, IBM, BYJU's, Persistent Systems, TATA Consultancy Services, Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, Asian Paints and Cummins.
