Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering is located in Navi Mumbai. It became operational in 1994 and is affiliated with University of Mumbai. The college received recognition from AICTE and accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It functions as a self-financed private Hindi-speaking minority institute. Government of Maharashtra awarded college Grade 'A'.

The campus covers 40 acres. It includes many departments, offices, hostels and residences for Principal and staff. College offers engineering courses in Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering. It also offers a Master in Computer Applications program.

College has approximately 2100 enrolled students and provides 53 honors and certified courses. Passing rate for students is reported to be 98%. The college accepts JEE Main for admission.

The library houses over 30,700 books and offers access to more than 70 print journals and many e-journals. The college also hosts a cultural festival named Zephyr, which attracts participants from engineering colleges in Navi Mumbai.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and AICTE approve the college.

Placement statistics show that in 2013, companies like Coca-Cola, IBM and Godrej hired students. Yearly placements included 133 students in 2012-13 189 students in 2011-12 and 84 students in 2010-11. Institute collaborates with companies like Infosys and L&T for internships and placements.
