GRG School of Management Studies (GRGSMS) was established in 1993 and is an exclusive women’s college. It falls under the Coimbatore Bharathiar University in and it belongs to the GRG group of institutions. The main program is the two-year MBA program.

How to apply?

The candidates can apply both online or offline. The application form can be obtained from the college office by hand or post or downloaded from the website. To obtain the application fee from the office, the fee to be paid is Rs. 500. It can also be obtained by paying a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 drawn in favour of “GRG School of Management Studies” payable in Coimbatore.

Admission Procedure

The candidate is expected to have taken either the MAT or TANCET exam.   Based on the scores in these entrances and performance in the UG course, the candidates will be shortlisted for an interview and selection will be made on the cumulative performance of all these factors. Cutoff

The cutoff score for the MAT exam in 2014 was 500.

Eligibility Criteria

All candidates who have completed their UG course in an recognized University with a minimum score of 50% of the marks are eligible for admission in the University.

Campus Facilities (i.e. Infrastructure)

GRGSMS is located in the GRG Institutions campus in Peelamalu. It has all the state-of-the-art facilities like a well-stacked library, laboratories, sports facilities, conference and seminar hall and a cafeteria. The entire campus is WiFi enabled.

Hostel

The hostel facility is available to all students. Transport is provided to and from the hostel. It also has a well functioning mess to provide food.

Placements

The Institute has had a good record with respect to placements with many leading companies like Axis Bank , Bank of Baroda, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Edelweiss Investment Banking, ICICI Bank, Reliance Insurance, Tata Consultancy Services, etc. The average package offered in the previous academic year was Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum. There has been a steady increase in the recruitment numbers over the years.

Student Life

The Institute has an active student body that organizes and takes part in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.Shreyas is the student forum under which various student bodies are formed based on their interest areas like environment, community welfare, arts and aesthetics, and leadership, etc. A B-School fest called Urjith is held by the students every year with various management related activities and competitions. Entrepreneurship related activities like E-talk and E-Week are also organized often by the students.

For candidates applying though TANCET, the dates will be as per the norms of the Government University. However, for management seats, the rough estimated dates for admission are as follows:

Fee Structure

If the candidate obtains admission through the MAT entrance, the fee is Rs 50,000 per year. If the candidate obtains admissions through the TANCET exam, the fee is Rs. 30,000 per year. The fee for using the hostels is around Rs. 24000 per year. Fee waivers are available to economically backward students.
