Jansons Institute Of Technology (JIT) Coimbatore

Jansons Institute of Technology (JIT) is a private engineering college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It was founded in 2009 and is the second initiative of the Jansons Foundation in higher education.

The campus is located 25 kilometers from Coimbatore on the Coimbatore-Chennai National Highway.

JIT provides multiple undergraduate programs. It offers B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, B.Tech in Computer Science and Business Systems, B.E in Civil Engineering, B.E in Computer Science and Engineering, B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.E in Mechanical Engineering.

JIT is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Tamil Nadu approve it.

The institute has a library with over 3,350 titles and 12,852 books. It subscribes to 99 national journals and 46 international journals along with 72 magazines. The hostel facilities include separate accommodations for boys and girls.

JIT accepts admissions through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counseling.

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited JIT with a B+ grade. The institute also holds ISO 9001-2015 certification.

According to 2023 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), JIT ranked 151 out of 312 colleges in India.

In academic year 2019-2020, placement rates varied by branch- 100% for B.E in Electronics and Communication, 65% for B.E in Mechanical Engineering, 70% for B.E in Computer Science Engineering and 64% for B.E in Civil Engineering.
