Institute Of Chemical Technology Mumbai

The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established in 1933 by the University of Mumbai. Earlier it was known as University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT, Mumbai).

Since its inception, ICT has created more than 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The Maharashtra government granted it full autonomy in June 2004, under the TEQIP programme run by the World Bank.

ICT was granted deemed university status with all the provisions of UGC and as state owned deemed university by the MHRD in 2008 by the recommendations of Government of Maharashtra and University of Mumbai.

It has the following departments;

Application and Admission Procedure

How to apply?

Students have to apply only via online mode. They must register themselves on the Admissions page present on the institute website. Candidates must fill in the details and upload soft copy of required documents to complete the application process. Registration fees is Rs. 800/- (RS. 600/- for SC/ST). Fees have to be paid online.

For UG admissions 70 % of the seats are reserved for Maharashtra students and the remaining 30% seats are for out of state students.

• Class 10 + 12 Mark sheets
• Migration certificate + caste certificate (if applicable)
• Income certificate
• JEE Main scores/ MAH-CET scores
• Passport sized photograph + signature

Admission Procedure

UG admissions for students in Maharashtra is based on MAH-CET scores while outside state students are given admission on the basis of JEE Main scores. Students must have minimum 50% marks in class 12 exams to be eligible for either of the exams.

Admission to PG and PhD courses depends on written examination conducted by the institute followed by an interview.

Hostel and Facilities

HOSTEL

Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) campus offers 5 hostels which include 3 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels. The total capacity of all the hostels is 855 wherein 210 seats are for girls.

Hostel accommodation is only entitled to the students of ICT.

Total number of seats available for fresher students is about 200, which includes all undergraduates, Master’s, Doctoral students.

Hostel mess is available to the students, which provides breakfast along with two other meals a day.
