Symbiosis Institute of International Business was founded in the year 1992 by the Symbiosis International University. This Autonomous Institution offers a range of diverse MBA programs in International Business, Agri Business and Energy & Environment.
Aspirants who have have a minimum of 45% score in their 10+2 and undergraduate studies can only apply for the above mentioned courses. Applicants are shortlisted based on the score obtained in the Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test conducted by the University. The selected candidates are then invited for the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview rounds after which admissions are made.
The Institution has academic tie ups with several international universities and also conducts regular workshops, seminars, conference and competitions for the welfare of the students. There are clubs for marketing, supply chain management, agri business, human resources, finance and energy & environment for students to explore and learn beyond academics.
Application and Admission Procedure
Symbiosis Institute of International Business is a constituent of Symbiosis International. The institute offers MBA with different specialisations.
MBA – International Business
The aspirant must be a graduate from any recognised university with minimum 50% marks.
MBA – Agri Business
The candidate must be a graduate from any recognised university with minimum 50% marks.
MBA – Energy and Environment
The candidate must have a bachelor of engineering degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
The selection process consists of two steps –
Step 1: Appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). It is the common written test conducted for admission to all symbiosis post graduation institutes.
Step 2: Apply for admission to SIIB Pune. All students looking for admission here need to apply to the institute with a valid SNAP score to participate in the counselling process. The further selection process will be comducted in Pune consisting of Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test.
Hostel and Facilities
HOSTEL:
SIIB campus is spread over a vast area of 1.93 acres. The hostel facilities are well designed and comfortable. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The rooms are airy, spacious and well furnished. There are Wi-Fi facilities available for both the hostels as well.
Moreover, the hostels are made safe for all the students through regular inspection by the hostel committee. Also, the institute is strictly against any act of ragging and any such act shall be punished/penalised.
