CMR College of Engineering and Technology was founded in 2002 and has been granted autonomous status by UGC. It’s courses are AICTE approved and accredited by NBA and NAAC. In 2017 the Times Engineering Institute Ranking Survey ranked CMR College as one of the top 100 engineering colleges in India.

Admission to these courses is based on the class XII marks in the relevant subjects and the scores of the EAMCET entrance examination.
M. Tech courses are offered in-
- Power Electronics
- Computer Science and Engineering
For entry into the M. Tech courses candidates need to have a B. Tech or B. E. degree or degrees considered by UPSC to be equivalent to the B. Tech and B. E. degrees namely an AMIE or AMIETE degree and also upon the GATE scores.
The college also offers MBA and MCA courses for which entry is based on the ICET entrance examination scores.
College facilities include- computer laboratories, library, cafeteria, sports grounds, buses, research cell.

HOSTEL:
Separate boys and girls hostels are available at CMRET provided with all sorts of basic amenities for a comfortable living of the students. Full time resident wardens are available to take care of the students and to maintain the discipline. The rooms available are 2 seaters, spacious and furnished.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at CMRCET students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
The infrastructure is good but i felt the campus was pretty small as compared to other colleges of the cityThe quality of food in the canteen is good and healthier to eat. The library is awesome, where lots of books are available. For sports, 2 basketball courts
Entrance Exam
EAMCET ,There is interview process in our college ,I have taken the EEE department in our college and it is one of the best department in our college,we have the very good and experienced faculty ,we also have good library and also digital library.
Fees
I have paid the fee of around Rs 1.7 lakhs per annum. To be frank the fee is very high even if the college has a great name and the degree of here matters. Also you have to keep on same some misc fee every year. Biut on the other side, the college also has great placements and if you are good students and get placed well you can recover this amount in no time.
Placements
The college has one of the best or i can also say the best placement in the city. The average placement is around Rs 4 lakhs and the maximum salary offered during my time was around Rs 14 lakhs. Some of the companies which came during my placement were SAP, Amazon, Hitachi consultant, IBM, HP, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Pragmati solutions, HTC global Solutions, Zensar, CDK globals, GGK, cognizant, L&T, Octane Solutions, C3/i, Tachyon, etc.
Hostel and Facilities
There is a college hostel for the college which charges 65k per year, they are located nearer the college and the transport facilities are provided by the hostel management. Apart from this as college is located near to kompally there are several private hostels in the area which charge about a range 4k to 6k.
Alumni
There will not be any interaction with the seniors untill the end of 1st year, then later on there will be various programs in which the senior and junior interaction increases.
Faculty
the teaching faculty is very good and they are very interactive to the students , the standard of the teaching faculty is high and the teachers have at least 15-20 years of experience. They are interactive and are not personally biased towards any student. They treat for equally.
Campus Life
Our college conducts many extracurricular activities like freshers party,farewell party , sports...etc we have got many opportunities to explore our inner talent. The facilities are very good and excellent.
Academics
Yes the exams and labs are frequent and making us learn many things and also rectify our mistakes through these exams,they also give theoritical and practical knowledge.
Internships
The college provides us with industrial records but i doubt if there is any internship by the college. Though you are free to do internship on your own but for that you need to take approval from your HOD. Also, you have submit an internship report and show the proof that you have interned somewhere.
