Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Amritsar

Guru Nanak Dev University is located in Amritsar. It was established in 1969. Campus covers an area of 500 acres. It is a public university approved by UGC.

Guru Nanak Dev University provides many academic programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. It offers 14 undergraduate specializations and 13 postgraduate specializations. The flagship programs include B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA.

University serves over 20,000 students. It has a faculty of 540 members with 60.29% holding PhD degrees. Facilities include laboratories, libraries, sports amenities and an auditorium. The university offers hostel accommodations for both boys and girls.

For admissions JEE Main scores are accepted for B.Tech courses. It accepts GATE scores or its own tests for M.Tech programs. The university conducts its own entrance test for MBA admissions. Guru Nanak Dev University has an "A++" accreditation from NAAC with a score of 3.85.

In 2022 NIRF rankings, university was placed 44th among universities in India. It is recognized by UGC. The university has international partnerships with institutes like the University of Wolverhampton and the University of Oklahoma. 

Placements - During 2021 placement drive 701 students secured placements. Highest CTC was INR 13.50 LPA. Notable recruiters included Amazon, TCS and HDFC Bank.
