Tamilnadu College of Engineering (TNCE) offers scholarships based on merit and need. TNCE also offers other scholarships like Abdul Kalam Scholarship (Meritorious Scholarship), Farmer Scholarship and Alumni Scholarship.

1. TNCE Scholarship Admission Test:

• This special scholarship test is conducted by the college for meritorious students who apply for admission.
• The test assures scholarships ranging from 25% to 100% of the tuition fee depending on the marks scored by the students.

1. AICTE Scholarships:

These scholarships are offered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to students pursuing technical education.

Two specific AICTE scholarship schemes are relevant here:

a. Pragati Scholarship Scheme: 

• Aimed at girl students to encourage them to pursue technical education. 
• Provides financial support of Rs. 50,000 per annum to 5000 girl students selected on merit basis. 
• Eligibility criteria include annual family income less than Rs. 8 lakhs, admission through centralized counseling process and not availing any other scholarship.

b. Saksham Scholarship Scheme: 

• Supports specially abled students in pursuing technical education. 
• Provides financial support of Rs. 50,000 per annum to 1000 specially abled students selected on merit basis. 
• Eligibility criteria include annual family income less than Rs. 8 lakhs, admission through centralized counseling process, disability of 40% or more and not availing any other scholarship .
