Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology Hyderabad
Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology was established in 1999 in the city of Hyderabad by A.P. Jithender Reddy and V. Purushottam Reddy. It works under the aegis of University grant Commision and approved by AICTE. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University.
The prestigious institute has been accredited by NAAC and NBA, Delhi. This institution has been ranked in top 10 engineering colleges of the region. It also provides a wide scope for research and has been recognized by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) as its regional research centre. Its campus provides state of the art infrastructure to its students.
The courses offered on campus are undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering and Masters of business administration in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and Management Skills. Various departments established in the institution are- Civil engineering, Electronics and communication engineering, Mechanical engineering, computer science engineering, Information technology and electrical engineering.
Application and Admission Procedure
Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology is a private technical education institute based in Hyderabad. It has been approved by the AICTE and has also been accredited by NAAC and NBA. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. It was established in 1998.
For admissions into the courses offered in the Institute, two categories A and B have been formulated.
Category A
The admissions into A Category are made by Govt. of Telangana through Centralized Counselling. The students have to qualify for the Intermediate or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% and must qualify EAMCET exam conducted by Govt. of Telangana.
Category B
The admissions into B category will be made by the management of the College based on the merit in EAMCET/ Intermediate.
Category-A has been assigned 70% of the seats and Category-B has been assigned 30%.
Similarly for admission into M.Tech programme
A: The students have to qualify in B.Tech or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% and must qualify GATE/PGECET exam conducted by Govt. of Telangana. The admissions will be made through web/online counselling.
B: The admissions into B category will be made by the management of the College based on the merit in GATE/PGECET/B.Tech.
For MBA, almost similar procedure is followed as well
A: The admissions into ‘A’ Category are made by Govt. of Telangana through Centralized Counselling. The students have to qualify in 3 years Degree course or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% and must qualify ICET exam conducted by Govt. of Telangana. The admissions will be made through web counselling.
B: The admissions into ‘B’ category will be made by the management of the College based on the merit in ICET/Degree.
Hostel and Facilities
Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology is situated in Aziznagar Gate, Chilkur Balaji Road, Hyderabad. This institute is spread over a large area and surrounded by a lash of greenery. It is situated far away from city hustle and bustle. It is affiliated with Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological University.
Hostel facility
This institute does not provide any hostel facility to its students though there are quite a large number of good private hostels and PGs available around this college campus.
Other Facilities
This college has a cafeteria, a very extensive library and well organized and well maintained separate labs for different subjects. It provides medical services to its students as well. It also has a bank and an ATM counter within its periphery.
The classrooms are well maintained, fully furnished and spacious enough to accommodate quite a large number of students. All classrooms are well equipped with all modern facilities. This college has a seminar hall and a conference hall too.
There is a General store which caters various stationary items to the students and staffs of this college within the campus. Transport facility also provided by this college. Moreover, it conducts various workshops and events for interested students.
It also provides internship opportunities to its students. Many social service campaigning is also conducted by this college.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at VJIT students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
My experience at the college has been better than average. There are enough opportunities for studios students to build their career and they will get good support from college faculty to get advices any time.
Entrance Exam
I have entered this institution after writing a common engineering entrance exam and through web counseling I have landed into this campus.No any interview process was there and it is my favorite cousre so I took it.
Fees
Affordable fee for me to pay as I have written the entrance exam so I got the consission in my fee at the starting of my admission process.I will have to pay 50000 as the college fee.
Placements
Placements were quite good in this college. Approximately, 95% of students get placed, if they meet the criteria. The highest salary offered is about 12 LPA. Companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys visit the campus. They will provide the roles of a software engineer or trainee in their company,
Hostel and Facilities
The college has it's own college hostel and it is also surrounded by various private hostel with reasonable fee structure, the usually charge 3000 to 4500 depending upon the facilities porvided but the basic facilities include food and accommodation and free WiFi facility
Alumni
Coming to the alumni we used to meet our seniors once in every month. All the fist second third years students would be attending this meeting regarding their doubts,experiences,and all other things were shared by all the students.
Faculty
They are the best in their field. The teaching quality is also good. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. The teaching will be done on projectors. I did not face any issues regarding the faculty here.
Campus Life
Excellent. We were given ample time for all the activities, Be it lab or sports or competitions. We had dedicated persons for each and every activity. Excellent sports and recreational areas and was very well maintained. the gender ratio will vary from department to department for departments. IT and CS have more girls.
Academics
We had 2 mid sem and 2 lab internals followed by lab externals and final semester exams final semester exams span for 3 hrs each
Internships
The college does not provide any internship but we as a students need to undergo internship at renowned industries and stipend will depend on the respective industry the student has selected to go
Loans and Scholarships
I don’t think so there is any loan facility. No actually the college itself does not provide any additional scholarships to the students but they are eligible to apply all kinds of government scholarships such as fees reimbursement.
