Government Engineering College was established in the year 2004 and is affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University and all its courses are AICTE approved. It is situated in the city of Rajkot

The college offers B. Tech courses in the fields of –

The eligibility for these courses is based on government norms and the ACPC Gujarat norms.

The college has hostel facilities for only boys along with mess facilities. Other facilities include- Well equipped laboratories, library, auditorium, conference hall, sports grounds, canteen, CCTV cameras for campus security, student startup and innovation centre, anti-ragging cell, women’s cell and centre of excellence.

The college has an active placement cell. Average salary received per annum is INR 180000 and the highest salary package received has been INR 300000. Recruiters include- Infosys, Adani group, Syntel, Wipro and the Essar group.

Application and Admission Procedure

Government Engineering College situated in Rajkot, Gujarat is a government operated Engineering college. It is managed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat. The College was established in 2004 and is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University.

It has also been approved by the AICTE. Institute has also applied for NBA Accreditation For CE, EC,IC and Mechanical Engineering for UG courses.

B.E. (4 Years)

Total Seats– 540 (combined)

Discipline: Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering and Mechanical Engineering

Eligibility: HSSC/10+2 from a recognised Board along with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

Admission: Admissions to the BE course is conducted on the basis of the scores obtained by the interested applicants in the Gujarat-CET Examination. Along with that JEE (Mains) scores are also accepted in the admission process.

Facilities within the college

Dedicated infrastructure is provided for Computer Department, EC Department, Admin Building, Workshop, Library, IC Department, Auditorium, Centre of Excellence and Conference Room.

Network Lab is set over an area of 400 sq.km, Workshop MP-I MP-II PT, Automobile System Lab, MSM Lab, Product Design & Validation Lab, Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory,

Student Start up Innovation Policy (SSIP), Industrial Workshops held regularly.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

Government Engineering College, Rajkot provides excellent infrastructural facilities to the students. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. The hostels are fully furnished with all modern facilities like safe and clean drinking water. Power generation sets etc.

However, mess facility is not provided by the college. Students need to arrange for themselves.

Other Facilities

Computer labs are fully equipped with all modern hardware and software resources. The labs are Wi-Fi enabled. All labs are also equipped with LCD for the students to deliver presentations. The college has a good library with books on all subjects ranging from reference books to periodicals. Workshops are available for the students to conduct practical.

The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. All the classrooms are well maintained with LCD projectors, overhead projectors and digital cameras. The college also has a spacious auditorium for hosting various expert events and talks. Seminar halls are also available.
