Scholarships

Merit-based Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded based on academic performance. Students who have secured a good percentage or rank in their previous qualifying exams are eligible to apply.
Minority Scholarships: These scholarships are given to students belonging to minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis. The scholarships cover tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other expenses.
AICTE Scholarships: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers several scholarships for students pursuing technical degree courses at Government Engineering College, Rajkot:
- Pragati Scholarship for Girl Students: For female students admitted in the first year of engineering courses. The scholarship amount is Rs. 50,000 per annum for four years.
- Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students: For students with disabilities admitted in the first year of engineering courses. The scholarship amount is Rs. 50,000 per annum for four years.
- AICTE-Swanath Scholarship Scheme: For students who have lost their parents or guardians due to COVID-19 and are admitted in the first year of engineering courses. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1 lakh per annum for four years.
Digital Gujarat Scholarships: These scholarships are offered by the Government of Gujarat through its online portal Digital Gujarat. They are available for students belonging to SC, ST and SEBC categories and cover tuition fees, hostel fees and other expenses.
