Gondwana University is a State Govt. University which came into existence in 2011. This university is named after Gondwana, a central India region. The motto of this eminent university is “Through Knowledge one can attain liberation”. It is affiliated with many organizations namely, UGC, NAAC etc.

This well-known university has over 22 affiliated colleges through which it provides UG, PG and doctoral level programmes in various disciplines including Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Social Science etc. Like Mumbai University this university also adopts semester system for all its courses. Foreign nationals and NRIs can also get admission into this university.

The admission into the UG and PG courses is on the basis of merit marks scored in 10+2 and Bachelor course respectively. This university strictly follows Govt Reservation policy and Scholarship programmes.

How to apply?

• Students are eligible for both online/offline admission
• For online admissions students have to access the application portal of the University and move to student registration portal
• The student registration process shall begin from June-July, 2018 onwards
• There are over 200 colleges which are affiliated to the University
• Students need to select the University they wish to apply for and take out the soft copy of the application form and submit it to the concerned college admission branch/office
• The admission process requires the basic educational qualification and reservation category documents where applicable.

Admission procedure

• The academic session of Gondwana University begins from July. Applications are taken from students across India as well as abroad.
• Basic educational qualifications for UG courses are minimum 50% in 10+2/HSC examination or equivalent
• For PG courses the basic educational qualifications are minimum 50% in the Graduation course/equivalent

Hostel and Facilities

Campus Facility

The Gondwana University is located in the city of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The campus provides a serene environment required for the efficient academicians. The university has a well-designed library with the digital center. It also houses modern up to date classrooms and laboratories.

The sports arena is also provided for indoor and outdoor games. Other facilities available are Information and technology center, medical health center, cafeteria and guest house.

Hostel Facility

Separate hostels are available for girls and boys. Each room is provided with basic amenities like table, chair, cupboard, and bookshelf. The mess is available in hostel premises with a dining room and hygienic kitchen.

Other facilities available are 24/7 internet facility and security guards. Recreational rooms are also built inside the hostel equipped with reading material, sports equipment and a television.

Student Activity

Seminars, sports meet, and cultural fests are few extracurricular activities available on campus.
