Remarks

The college is definitely one of the best. I have more good remarks about the college rather than the bad ones. I would surely recommend students this college. Also the facilties of the college is good. Just the management takes a lot of tiem to implement their deciosns.

Entrance Exam

No entrance is required to get into the course. The students have to fill in the aplicatopn form and submit it at the university or even apply online. They are selected based on their higher secondary score.

Fees

Being a govt university the fee is obvious less than other private universities. It is easily affordable by a middle class family. Also, fee for management quota students is way higher than others who get in through merit.

Placements

The placement of the college is good it even has a dedicated placement cell which makes sure that students get placed. TCS is a major recruiter here along with other IT and non IT companies. So yeah you can trust the college with the placements.

Hostel and Facilities

The hostel of the college is good with the required basic facilities. Also, the fee is less as compared to other PG’s. Though the college has strict hostel rules and if you can’t follow them you should go for PG’s.

Alumni

I don’t think there is alumni network or any alumni meet of any sort. You have to contact them through your own source. Though I have had great interaction with the my seniors and we are just like a big family here. There isn’t any ragging of any kind.

Faculty

The number of faculty here is comparatively low here but those who are here are very knowledgeable and understanding.

Campus Life

Campus life is just great being a student inside classroom or a group of friends outside class is just too memorable experience for lifetime.

Academics

Exam 2 hours of semester. consisting of 40 Marks.with 1/2 hours of pre written test(Assignment test) of 10marks Exams are conducted 2 times a year, so not that hectic or Boring for the students. There are no Labs or other exams are there for the B.com student

Internships

No our college does not provide any internship but a student may do internship in their own will. But the student has to take prior permission from his/her department before starting it. The timings of the college and internship might also clash.

Loans and Scholarships

I don’t think the college offers any kind loan or scholarship facilities as I did not get any. Though for confirmation kindly contact the university itself as they will be able to tell you better than anybody.

Remarks

Management was good and student oriented. I never felt that the management is harassing any student. Management always back their students in their endeavours.

Entrance Exam

I am studying in BSC. Computer science because of my interest in the field of computer. The Selection in the Ravenshaw University is based in the mark basis of you 12th board examination. I secured 88.6% in my 12th board and I got the first selection in the University.

Fees

Its very much feasible as its a government college. The fee for B.Sc ITM was only Rs 30 k per annum. It is technical degree and most of the private colleges charge way higher than 30k.

Placements

As this is not a engineering college , campus facilities are fewer in this University. But companies like TCS, Wipro, Delloate , Tech Mahindra are camping every year. Students from Most of the IT related courses got hired in this. The package are generally between 3-10 lakhs.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel facility are really good there are almost 10 hostels. From these hostels, 5 hostels are for girls and others are for boys. Hostel fees are very minimal and 1000 per month.

Alumni

Faculty

All the facilities are qualified PHD. None are allowed to be lecture with out PHD here. For each paper there are separate facilities are available. For ex.computer science having 4 papaers (3 theory and 1 practical) . There are 4 faculties for same. All facilities are good in their field and regular in their classes.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is almost 1:1. Workshops , seminars are conducted by every department every month. The college celebrates all occasions study tour function centenary seminars . Hostel functions every hostels are celebrated every year and they are also sponsored by good companies . There is a lot of diversity in the college and we even have foreign students. Therefore, you get to meet a lot of people.

Academics

Exams are not so frequently but lab classes are frequent. Total 3 years and six semester. In each semester there is one internal assessment test. You also have to pay the exam fee. Result published in the website. All the exams taken in a very strict way in the Air conditioned rooms. I felt very comfortable while giving the exams.

Internships

Yes, there internships offered by the college. Not sure about others but I did my internship at wipro gave me around 10k stipend. I remember by the end of placements most of the students have 2-3 jobs in their hand.

Loans and Scholarships

Yeah students are availing many scholarship in University. There is a special Scholarship Department in the University administrative block. Students are availing these following scholarships. Not sure about the scholarship but loan facilities are provided by the college. They have the tieup with State bank of India and one of its branch is within the college premises.
