Scholarships

Post Matric Scholarship:

Applicable to: SC/ST students who have passed the matriculation or equivalent examination and are pursuing higher education.
Expenses Covered: Tuition fees, maintenance allowance, books and stationery and other allowances.
Eligibility:
- Belong to SC/ST category with a valid caste certificate.
- Passed matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
- Enrolled in a regular or distance mode course offered by BAOU or any other recognized institution.
- Annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakh for SC students and Rs. 2 lakh for ST students.

Merit Scholarship:

Applicable to: Meritorious students pursuing graduate or postgraduate courses.
Expenses Covered: Tuition fees and other charges.
Amount: Rs. 5000 per year for graduate students, Rs. 10000 per year for postgraduate students.
Eligibility:
- Secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination from a recognized board or university.
- Enrolled in a regular or distance mode course offered by BAOU or any other recognized institution.
- Not availing any other scholarship or financial assistance from any source.

Application process - To apply for these scholarships, students need to visit the official website of BAOU or the digital portal of the government of Gujarat and fill the online application form with required details and documents. They also need to submit the hard copy of the application form along with supporting documents to the study center or regional center of BAOU.

Scholarships are disbursed through direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode after verification of eligibility and attendance.
