Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) is a state public university located in New. It was established in 2013 and is first womens technical university in India. The university focuses on studies and research in engineering, technology, applied sciences, architecture and other professional education areas for women. 

IGDTUW offers undergraduate programs like BTech, BArch and BBA. At the postgraduate level, it provides MBA, MTech and MCA. University also has a PhD program available. Approximately 2,000 students study at the institute.

Students at IGDTUW have access to different facilities, including residence options, Wi-Fi, laboratories, lecture halls and a central library. Additional amenities include an auditorium, specialized labs, a dispensary, a bank and a computer center.

Admissions are based on national-level exams including JEE Mains UGC NET and CUET. BTech program requires application through JEE Main. IGDTUW holds an A+ grade from NAAC and is ISO 9001-2015 certified. In 2023, it ranked 151-200 out of 200 colleges in India according to NIRF.

University collaborates internationally with universities in Malaysia and Taiwan for academic and research initiatives. 

Placements - Placement statistics for 2023 show that that IGDTUW received 780 offers with 330 of 367 participating students getting placed. Highest package offered was INR 82 LPA while average stood at INR 26.11 LPA.
