SHRI SHANKARACHARYA ENGINEERING COLLEGE, BHILAI

It is a private institution established in 1999 and is named after Adi Shankaracharya. It is a component of Shri Shankaracharya Group of Institutions. It is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University.

It is formerly known as Shri Shankaracharya College of Engineering & Technology.

It is located in Bhilai, Durg, Chhattisgarh, India. The campus spreads over an area of 21,000 square metres. It provides various facilities like labs, on campus Wi-Fi, ATM, cafeteria, medical care, recreation centre, gymkhana, sports complex, audio & video systems teaching tools.

Admission into the institute is through JEE, CG PPHT, CG PET, MCA, or CG PPT.

Application and Admission Procedure

How to apply:

The candidates can fill the application form via ONLINE only. The application form and prospectus can be downloaded as from the website of the college. The fees for application can also be paid through Demand draft or online by net banking, debit or credit card.

The documents should be kept ready at the time of form fill up. All the documents should be uploaded in the prescribed format.

Admission Procedure:

The institute conducts an entrance test for few courses. After successfully submitting the application form the authorities issues a hall ticket for the candidates.

The candidates who are successful in the entrance examination are required to attend in person at the time of counselling on the mentioned date and time.

For few courses admission is strictly done on the basis of marks in the last exam qualified. The candidates are strictly instructed to carry all the documents at the time of counselling.

Hostel and Facilities

Sri Shankaracharya Engineering College has 2 boys hostel and 4 girls hostels for the students enrolled in the college. In total about 1700 students can reside in the separate hostels for boys and girls.

There are many facilities which are provided to the students, they are as mentioned:

  • Gymnasium facility, to keep the hostellers fit and active
  • Swimming Pool, to help the students achieving a healthy lifestyle
  • Music centre, the institute provides state of art and music centre in the campus that too with the facility of rehearsal

There are some rules for the hostellers like they can’t consume alcohol, or any in toxic substances in the hostel campus. The students are also requested to fill the hostel application form as soon as possible, since the fresher’s are allowed only after commencing of the session.

The hostel campus is provided with 24*7 security guards, to provide safety and security of the students living in the hostel of Sri Shankaracharya Engineering College.
