BBDIT is a prestigious institute in the field of Engineering and Management. It was established in 2000, by Rajiv Educational Trust. The institute’s vision is to provide contemporary and qualityeducation in the areas of engineeringand Management.
The college is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. It is recognized by AICTE. It is professionally associated with IETE (Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India), IEI (Institution of Engineers) &CSI (Computer Society of India).
It also has a collaborations with Gannon University, Pennsylvania, USA for Masters Programme inEngineering Branches and Business Administration.
The institute is ranked 2nd in UP as per Dataquest- CMR and 39th all over India as per the prestigious ‘The Times of India’.

Hostel and Facilities
The campus of Babu Banarasi Das Institute of technology (BBDIT) has a world class well-designed campus with a good environment.
The area of the library is spread over a carpet area of 1000 sq metre and has a collection of over 44,000 books. Computer labs are also provided and the systems are equipped with the latest software.
Each department has their own computer lab for their computing needs. A wide-spread cafeteria is also available. Apart from these, the institute also provides a Gymnasium located within the campus. Various advanced equipments and experienced gym trainers are allotted in this gymnasium.
BBDIT has an on-campus hostel facility for boys whereas an off-campus hostel facility for girls. There are 400 beds available in the boy’s hostel. Amenities like power-backup, Wi-Fi etc are also provided.
An inter college annual festival known as ENCORE is organised by the students which is celebrated for two days.
