Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management came into existence in 2003. It is a semi Govt. Institution. The campus of this college is named as "Prasanta Sur Campus". It is affiliated with West Bengal State University and AICTE.

This institute offers Undergraduate Degrees in several engineering branches such as Electrical engineering, computer science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Civil Engineering Information Technology Engineering etc. apart from these, it also offers Bachelor in Computer Application degree and MBA degree.
