In 1973, the Department of Business Economics, under the prestigious University of Delhi, pioneered a Masters Program in Business Economics earlier known as MBE, combining fundamentals of economic analysis with the practical aspects of business. Over the years, the department has evolved into a mature management institute with national reputation, imparting high quality education to the students. This year it opens admission for the MBA (Business Economics) Programme in place of MBE with a new updated syllabus.

In addition to its Masters programme, the department also administers Ph.D. program in varied business and economic research fields.
