Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science & Technology has been providing education since the year 2004 and is situated in Kolkata. The campus is built on 1,20,000 sq.ft of land with modern facilities including Wifi connectivity, medical center, book banks, separate hostels for girls and boys, advanced laboratories and hygienic mess.

The Institution has been approved by AICTE and the college has also been certified by the ISO 9001:2008 and the National Entrepreneurship Network.

The College is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and offers B.Tech courses in CSE, EEE, ECE, Mechanical and Civil, along with the MBA program. The admissions for the above mentioned courses are made through a counseling process conducted by the WBUT based on the 10+2 scores (For undergraduation) and UG marks (For MBA).

In addition to this students are required to write JEE mains or WBJEE for consideration into B.Tech courses.

How to Apply

The application process is handled online, and strictly between the institution and the applicant: candidates are required to visit the official college website and get the query form in the ‘admissions enquiry’ tab. After filling in all details on the query form a college representative will contact the candidate and offer guidance as to the following steps to take, and provide the candidate with an application form.

Admission Procedure

Admission to the B. Tech course is granted on the basis of merit (10+2 marks, minimum 45% with PCM), as well as scoring/rank in the WBJEE/AIEEE entrance exams.

Admission to the MBA program is granted on the basis of merit, i.e. the candidates should have passed the Undergraduate level examination with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized college.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

SVIST Kolkata has its own hostel infrastructure with separate accommodation available for boys and girls. The college has a total of 6 hostels in total with 3 each for male and female students.

The hostels also have their own mess facilities. Well-furnished and spacious rooms equipped with a bed, a study table, study chair, wardrobe are available on sharing basis.

Campus Facilities

• The Institution has computerized library with Book bank facility for the students. Latest National and International periodicals along with 50000 plus reference books are available for the students for lending and reference.
• The Institution has 20 fully air conditioned, spacious class rooms with seating capacity of 60 students. The rooms are fully furnished with LCD Projectors and Microphones.
• The Institute is among the very few Private Engineering Colleges in West Bengal where students are being trained by PURPLE LEAP (Pearson Educom Group) for Industry Certification in the courses ORACLE, JAVA, EMBEDDED SYSTEMS and ROBOTICS.
• The entire campus is facilitated with WI-FI facility with 3 mbps speed.
• A 400 Seater fully air-conditioned Seminar Hall with microphone, LCD Projector etc has also been provisioned.
