The MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE) is located in Pune. It was established in 1999 by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad. MITAOE operates as an autonomous institute. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in many engineering disciplines. Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Engineering is flagship program. Other departments include Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology.
