Goenka College of Commerce & Business Administration which is a very reputed educational institution came into existence in 1905. Previously it was a part of the Premium college Presidency, later it got its own identity.
According to the India Today survey, 2007, it holds the 11th position among the commerce colleges in India and it is the best commerce college in Kolkata. It has a very enriched cultural legacy. It is an "A" grade college accreted by NAAC and it has been affiliated with the University of Calcutta.
The leading commerce college is situated at Bowbazar and College Street Junction. The campus area of this college is quite large. It has an extensive library, cafeteria, well-equipped gym, auditorium, sports complex computer lab etc. The whole campus is WiFi enabled. Moreover, it has experienced, and skilled faculty members. Getting admission in this prestigious college is quite difficult. For admission in UG and PG programmes, one has to score very well in his/her last academic examination. For MBA admission the aspirants need to score high in CMAT.
