Hyderabad Institute Of Technology And Management Ranga Reddy

The Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM) is a private institute in Medchal. It was established in 2001 as the Royal College of Engineering and was rebranded as HITAM in 2007. HITAM is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

University Grants Commission (UGC) granted HITAM Autonomous status. The institute offers undergraduate programs in many engineering disciplines. These disciplines include Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. It places emphasis on a unique educational approach termed 'Doing Engineering.'

The faculty comprises over 80 members. HITAM has research centers that focus on Robotics, IoT, AI/ML and Multidisciplinary Engineering. The campus includes an IBM Software Lab for training and certification.

For admissions, Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is accepted entrance examination. HITAM is accredited with NAAC A+ and NBA. In 2023 it ranked in the 101-150 category among private institutes according to NIRF.

HITAM has international collaborations for capacity building initiatives including partnerships with IBM and Grand Challenges Scholars Program. 

Placements - Approximately 70% of students secure jobs in leading companies like Microsoft, Infosys and TCS.
