Kanyashree Prakalpa: This scheme by the Government of West Bengal is for unmarried girls aged 13 to 18 years from families with an annual income less than Rs. 1.2 lakh. It provides an annual scholarship of Rs. 750 and a one-time grant of Rs. 25,000 after turning 18 and enrolling in an undergraduate course.
Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: This state government scheme is for meritorious students from families with an annual income less than Rs. 2.5 lakh. The scholarship amount ranges from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 5000 per month, depending on the level of study (undergraduate or postgraduate) and the stream (arts, science, commerce, etc.).
Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students: This central government scheme supports students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Other Backward Classes who have passed matriculation or equivalent exams and are pursuing higher studies. The scholarship amount varies from Rs. 230 to Rs. 1200 per month based on the level of study and stream.
