Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, formerly known as Bhagalpur University was established on 12th July 1960. It has 29 constituent colleges under it, having about 34 University Departments.The university harbors a sound academic ambiance with its highly qualified and dedicated faculty staff to provide quality teaching and research in various disciplines of humanities, arts, social sciences and modern science.

AboutMarwari College, Bhagalpur:

Marwari College, Bhagalpur was founded in 1941, being the First Commerce Teaching Institute in Bihar and a constituent unit of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University later. There are more than 6000 students in the college, covering over 21 departments. The Commerce was established in 1941, Arts in 1955 and Science in 1965. Marwari College is one of the oldest study centers ofIndira Gandhi National Open University [IGNOU] in Bihar. The college provides extracurricular activities like games, sports, fine arts, music and drama. NCC, NSS and extension services are also the integral part of the college.
