MV College, Buxar was established in 1957. It is affiliated to Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU). The college is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers Bachelor and Master Degree programs in various streams of Arts and Science. The college has well qualified teaching staff having years of experience in the fields of education and industry. It also provides support services like library, spacious classrooms, common hall, computer laboratory and Medical facility.

In order to increase the physical strength of the students MVC organizes activities like sports competitions, N.S.S and N.C.C. The college regularly maintain the healthy educational environment and it provides world class education through effective and efficient processes.
