Usha Mittal Institute Of Technology (UMIT) Mumbai

The Usha Mittal Institute of Technology is located in Mumbai. It was established in 1997 and was previously called the Institute of Technology for Women. This public institute is managed by SNDT Women's University.

The institute provides six undergraduate programs. These include Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Institute also offers postgraduate programs in Computer Science & Technology and Electronics & Communication Engineering. It hosts PhD research centers in related fields.

Student body consists of over 800 students and there are approximately 50 faculty members. The institute has many facilities for students. These include hostels, sports, an auditorium, a library, IT labs, WiFi and a cafeteria.

The admission process follows the rules from the Directorate of Technical Education Government of Maharashtra. MHT-CET scores are accepted for admissions. The institute holds approvals from the AICTE and the UGC and it has received a NAAC Grade A.

Placements - The highest package is 30 LPA while the average package is 7 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, Capgemini and Infosys regularly recruit from campus. Approximately 70-80% of students secure placements.
