Fee Structure Of SMIT, Hooghly-Saroj Mohan Institute Of Technology

The Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology was established in the year 2003 and has its affiliation with Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University and is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The institute offers undergraduate and posts graduate programs to its students.

The campus is divided into various blocks for a better administration which are-

The college has a separate Research and Development centre in order to improve the entrepreneurial skills. Some of the major recruiters of the institute are Johnson Control India, American Meghatreand, Mapline India, Mastech etc.

For admission to the institute, the candidate should have passed the intermediate examinations with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Application and Admission Procedure

The application forms for BCA, BBA & BBA-Hospital Management are available on the campus, candidates need to fill the application form, pay the application fee along with the necessary documents. The form can be submitted by post or at the institute.

Candidates applying for MBA should have a minimum of 50% marks at graduation level and the candidates are selected on the basis of CET score in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA.

Candidates applying for BBA & BCA must have at least 30% marks in English in the last qualifying exam.

Candidates applying for BCA must have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level.

Hostel and Facilities

HOSTEL

The hostels of SMIT provide all modern facilities to the students. There are 4 separate buildings for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th year boys’ and 2 separate buildings for girls’. There are many playgrounds in SMIT and hostellers can avail 4 playgrounds.

Basic amenities like room service, bed, cupboard, study table, chair, washrooms, common room, recreation area etc are provided to the students. Apart from all these facilities the students are provided with perks like movie show in air-conditioned auditorium, internet facility, WI-FI also.

There is a 24×7 ambulance facility provided to students residing in hostels in case of emergencies.

OTHER FACILITIES

• AC Auditorium with state of art Audio-Visual system, having capacity of seating for 410 students. Various cultural programmes, lectures, college annual function are organised in this auditorium.
