Fee Structure Of RCCIIT, Kolkata-Rcc Institute Of Information Technology

It is a public institute which was established in 1999 and is affiliated to Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology. It is approved by AICTE.

It is located in Beliaghata, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It provides various facilities like library, sports complex, medical care, labs, and auditorium. It doesn’t provide hostel facility.

The admissions are provided on the basis of WBJEE or All India Engineering Entrance Examination or GATE or PGET.

The Institute has its own separate training and placement cell which on a regular basis organizes personality development programs and imparts knowledge about human relation, social and managerial skills. Top recruiting companies include- TCS, WIPRO, Amazon, NIIT, CMC, Path Partner, ATOS India and more.

How to Apply

The application process is as follows:

Online Mode

Candidates have to register on the online portal accessible through the Institute’s official website, fill in all the relevant information and upload all the required documents, before paying the registration fee of 400/-.

Offline Mode

Candidates can also visit the college personally to collect the application form and follow the steps listed above.

After the admission process, the shortlisted candidates will be notified about the admission dates, and must present the following documents during the admission process:

• Original ALLOTMENT LETTER issued from concerned REPORTING CENTER.
• Admission Fee (DD, NEFT, or cash).
• Online Affidavit is to be filled by both student and guardian for declaration related to anti ragging as per AICTE norms.
• Notarial affidavit by the student regarding a declaration on a ten rupees stamp paper.
• Original medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner for physical and eye (vision) fitness of the candidate + Original test report of candidate’s blood group.

Finally, Scan copy (preferably in PDF format and Photo in JPG) of the following documents (related to candidate):

• WBJEEE/AIEEE/GATE/PGET/WBJECA admit card.
• 10+2 marksheets
• Bachelor’s degree (if applicable)
• SC/ST/PC Certificate (if applicable)
• STAMP SIZE Color photograph
• Signed affidavit regarding Anti Ragging related declaration
• Notarial affidavit by the student on a ten rupees stamp paper
• ALLOTMENT LETTER issued from concerned REPORTING CENTER

All these must be self-attested (except the photograph).

Admission Procedure

The admission to the B. Tech undergraduate course is granted on the basis of merit (10+2 marks), andis done through the counselling process conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). The candidate needs to secure a rank in either WBJEE or AIEEE to attain counselling conducted by WBJEEB.

The admission to the M. Tech postgraduate program is granted on the basis of merit (Bachelor’s degree) in addition to scoring on the PGATE/GATE entrance exams.

The admission to the MCA postgraduate program is granted on the basis of merit (10+2 and Bachelor’s degree), and candidates must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel Facility-

The RCC Institute of Information Technology doesn’t have any on-campus hostel facilities. However, the institute is situated in the heart of Kolkata city and as such there are number of good private hostels to choose from.

Many students have also been residing in Paying Guest accommodations. There are numerous PG’s available according to the students’ tastes and preferences. These hostels range from a 1000 rupees per month to amounts much higher.

Other Facilities-

To inculcate the habit of extracurricular involvement of the students, the RCCIIT puts emphasis on Sports, culture and talent fests. Many extracurricular activities include-

• The institute organises the Design Fest, Sports Fest and the Cultural fest on a yearly basis. In the design contests, students of the Institution take assignments on designing, fabricating, and demonstrating the outcomes of their designs in the forms of products such as robots and functional models as well as in the form of process charts/blueprints.
• In the sporting aspect, the institution is sufficiently equipped with Table Tennis, Football, Volleyball etc facilities. The institution also puts a lot of effort into nurturing Entrepreneurship talent.
• They have organised an EDC and EDP programme in partnership with AICTE and a Skill Development programme in association with MSME-DI, Kolkata.
