New Government Polytechnic, Patna Patna

New Government Polytechnic, Patna (NGPP) is a government polytechnic. It occupies a 4.5-acre campus. It was established in 1955. NGPP is among oldest polytechnic colleges in Bihar. The institute operates under the Department of Science & Technology Government of Bihar. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

NGPP provides diploma programs in different engineering and technological fields. These include Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Automobile Engineering.

The student population is about 800 supported by a faculty of 35 members. NGPP is affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education, Patna, which ensures that its programs adhere to curriculum and industry standards.

The institute features well-equipped workshops, laboratories, a dedicated computer lab and modern infrastructure. Available facilities include a computer center, a central library, hostels for boys and girls and sports facilities.

Admissions are based on Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) conducted annually by Government of Bihar. NGPP has a training and placement cell that manages campus placements, attracting companies like Bajaj and Indian Oil.
