Masab Tank, Hyderabad, Telangana 500028Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) is a state public university located in Masab Tank, Hyderabad. It was established in 1961. The university aims to provide education in Art and Architecture. It is the first of its kind in India.
JNAFAU comprises two colleges- the School of Planning & Architecture and the College of Fine Arts. These colleges offer undergraduate postgraduate and PhD research programs. The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) is the flagship course. Candidates need to have completed 12th grade with Maths and a valid score from NATA or JEE. University has more than 2,000 students.
Campus covers 4.32 acres and includes studios, drawing halls and laboratories.
JNAFAU includes many affiliated institutes like CSI Institute of Technology and SAR College of Architecture. The university provides facilities like a digital lab, seminar hall, wi-fi lab, studio and lecture halls.
For admissions JNAFAU accepts NATA and JEE Main Paper 2 scores for BArch For B.Tech (Planning) TS EAMCET scores are required. Candidates for the M.Tech program must possess a relevant B.Tech degree and a valid GATE score.
The university is approved by AICTE and accredited by NAAC and NBA of AICTE. In rankings JNAFAU holds #21 for Architecture by IIRF 2024 and is listed in top 3% of universities globally by QS Rankings.
