Osmania University is located in Hyderabad. It was established in 1917 and is the seventh oldest university in India. It was first university in princely state of Hyderabad.

Campus spans nearly 1600 acres making it one of largest university systems globally. Osmania University operates as a state public university.

The university offers many programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. It has 12 faculties and 56 departments. It provides 80 undergraduate programs, 65 postgraduate courses, 21 diploma programs and 62 PhD programs.
