The GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is an established institute in India. It started in 1960 and was the first agricultural university in the country. Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated university.

University is located in Pantnagar. It is a state public university.

Admission - B.Tech admissions (except B.Tech Food Tech) are based on Joint Entrance Examination merit. GATE, CAT, CMAT and ICAR entrance exam scores are accepted for some Master's and PhD programs.
