Fee Structure of Chennai Mathematical Institute, Siruseri (CMI)

1. B.Sc. (Hons.) students receive a scholarship of Rs. 4000 per month. This covers the tuition fee of Rs. 2000 per month and provides a stipend of Rs. 2000 per month for living expenses.
2. M.Sc. students receive a scholarship of Rs. 6000 per month. This covers the tuition fee of Rs. 3000 per month and provides a stipend of Rs. 3000 per month for living expenses.
3. Ph.D. students receive a scholarship that starts at Rs. 16000 per month. This covers the tuition fee of Rs. 5000 per month and provides a stipend of Rs. 11000 per month for living expenses. The scholarship amount may increase after the completion of the comprehensive examination.

The scholarships are awarded based on both merit and need criteria:

• The merit criterion considers performance in the entrance exam conducted by CMI or the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) for B.Sc. (Hons.) students.
• The need criterion is based on the financial background of the student and their family.

The Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) offers hostels for both male and female students. It is available to all bachelors and the masters students. One room is shared by 2 students. There is a separate girl's block. Free wifi is available on all floors.

The hostel fee structure is as follows-

The fee includes hostel fees, mess charges and establishment charges. Hostel and mess fees are paid at the beginning of each semester.

Additional facilities available in the hostel include a mess that provides nutritious food.
