Jain University was established by JGI group in 1990. It was earlier known as SriBhagawanMahaveer Jain College. It was awarded deemed university status in 2009. It is spread over 300 acres. It is one of the first college accredited and reaccredited by NAAC. Jain college was affiliated to Bangalore Univeristy and Sri Visvesvaraya Technological University before it was given deemed university status.

The university has strong focus on placements and the programs are design to make students employable. The university offers programs in science, computer application , commerce, Engineering and management streams.

The university also has a counselling cell that helps studnets deal with the academic and peer pressure.

The university was ranked in top 5 best univerisities in india. It was also ranked 2^nd among young universities by Karnataka state universities Framework (KSUFW).

The university conducts its own entrance test JET (Jain Entrance test) for admission into various graduate programs. PG JET is conducted for admission into post-graduate programs.

How to Apply

To apply to Jain University, online mode of application is available. Interested candidates can visit the official website. Click in “ADMISSION” tab and choose the programme of interest. Then click on the button “APPLY NOW”.

There are three steps involved in the application process.

1. Fill personal and academic details
2. Upload all the supporting documents
3. Payment of fees

Duly fill the form with a valid email id, recent colored photograph, and signature. Upload all the documents in the prescribed format to ascertain your eligibility for the course you have applied. Payment can be done online via payment gateway either through net banking, debit card or credit card.

Once payment is done download the application form for future reference and also jot down the registration number and attached password. Form incomplete in any way will be liable to rejection.

Admission Procedure

Admission to various courses is done according to the marks of candidates in respective national level examination or varied college level admission tests. According to the score in these tests, merit list is formed.

All the seats are allotted according to the rank of the student. Students can confirm the seat by depositing the requisite fees at the institution in a stipulated period of time.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus Facility

The Jain University is located in urban area of city Bangalore. The lush green campus provides state of the art infrastructure. A diversified library with well-stocked shelves and digital resource center is available on campus.

Technology enabled classrooms, laboratories, IT infrastructure and a radio station are effectively housed. Other facilities include seminar halls, auditorium, gymnasium, multi-cuisine eating joint and a health center.

Hostel Facility

Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. They can accommodate around 85% of the students studying in college. On campus as well as off-campus hostels are available. Each room in hostels is provided with a bed, a chair, a table and a cupboard.

Hygienic mess, modern gymnasium and recreational rooms are also available in the hostel. Medical checkup and telephone facility is given round the clock.
