Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute Of Engineering And Technology Malda

The Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering and Technology (GKCIET) is located in Malda, West Bengal. It was established in 2010. The institute operates as a Government-Aided institute and receives funding from the MHRD. Its campus spans approximately 103 acres in Narayanpur, Maligram.

GKCIET offers multiple academic programs, including five Diploma courses and three Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs. B.Tech program is their flagship course. Specializations offered in the B.Tech program are Electrical Engineering Food Technology/Food Processing Technology and Mechanical Engineering.

4-year B.Tech programs are affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). The 3-year diploma programs are affiliated with the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development. Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

The institute has multiple facilities like  administrative and academic buildings, a canteen, two hostels, staff quarters, playgrounds, a computing cum library center and a workshop.

Admissions consider entrance exams like JEE Mains, WBJEE, JEXPO and GKCIET Entrance Test. Lateral entry is allowed through JELET and VOCLET counseling.

Over 1500 students have secured placements in IT companies. Highest placement package is 27 LPA. Lowest is 2.3 LPA. Notable recruiting companies include TATA, BHEL, Indian Oils and Mahindra.
