Thangal Kunju Musaliar (TKM) Institute of Technology was established in 2002 by the TKM trust. It is located in Kerala and is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology and is approved by the AICTE. The institute was founded by an educationalist called Janab A. Thangal Kunju Musaliar.
The campus is spread in 25 acres on the Musaliar Hills. It has residential facilities for the students and staff, laboratories, playgrounds, computer centre, library and canteens. The college also takes care of the transportation for students.
The institute runs various B.Tech and M.Tech courses through these departments:
- Department of Civil Engineering
- Department of Computer Science and Engineering
- Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Department of Electronics and Biomedical Engineering
- Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Department of Food Technology
- Department of Mechanical Engineering
The admission procedure requires at least 50% marks in Maths and 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, combined, in intermediate along with the required score in the entrance exam conducted by the college.
The college is renowned for hosting a variety of sports, environment and art events.

Hostel facilties
The hostels of the institute are an ideal place for the students. The hostels have an ambience which makes the students feel at home. The congenial atmosphere along with the top-notch facilties provide a sense of belongingness, security and a spirit of independence inside the students. The institute accomodates the men and women in separate hostels and a chief warden is appointed for the safety and security of the students. Then there is Resident Deputy Warden and Resident Tutors, who are Professors or Lecturers of the college. There is availability of nutirtious and healthy food in the mess for the students and there are all types of recreational facilties such as TV, telephone (incoming and outgoing), indoor and outdoor games.
Other facilties
There are various basic amenties avaialble such as 24 hr ATM facility, Airconditioned Seminar Hall, transportation facilties, conference halls, meeting rooms, different blocks for different departments, sports facilities for indoor as well as outdoor games and so on.
