Ettumanoorappan College, Ettumanoor was established in 1995. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. The aim of the college is to create a centre of excellence through the formation of young people empowered to create a bright future for themselves and others, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or language through the dissemination of knowledge, skills and noble values. The objective of the college is to impart learning suited to the needs and aspirations of the youth of the country and to inculcate in the students, values of life which will make them true citizens of the nation.

The college envisages molding the character and personality of the students through a system of careful and systematic training and to foster in them respect for all religions and develop a sense of tolerance in life. The college is to cultivate in students the spirit of social service and the concern for and the commitment to the cause of the poor and the needy.
