Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College (ADP College) Nagaon began operation in 1959. It is a government college affiliated with Gauhati University.

ADP College provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Science and Commerce. Bachelor of Science (BSc) is main program with eight specializations. The college has 21 departments, including subjects like English, Assamese, Economics and Computer Science. Student body consists of more than 2,500 students and there are over around 70 faculty members.

Facilities include a library housing 50,000 books, a computer center with wireless connectivity and practical laboratories. The college has two girls' hostels. Admission to courses depends on performance in entrance examinations.

College is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It received a B grade in 2004 an A grade in 2015 and a B++ grade in 2022. In rankings it was rated 151st among the best colleges in the Science stream by India Today in 2021.
