Army Institute Of Technology (AIT) Pune

The Army Institute of Technology (AIT Pune) is an engineering college in Pune. It was founded in 1994 by the Army Welfare Education Society. General BC Joshi then Chief of Army Staff initiated its establishment for the children of Indian Army personnel.

It is a private unaided institute and is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University.

AIT Pune offers both undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses. Undergraduate programs include Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The only postgraduate program is in Mechanical Design. Bachelor of Engineering degree is flagship program.

Facilities include a library, hostels for boys and girls, a gym, Wi-Fi access, a medical center, sports amenities, a cafeteria and a mess. The campus also features a shopping complex and a water facility.

For admissions AIT Pune accepts JEE Main scores conducted by the National Testing Agency.

AIT Pune holds accreditation from All India Council for Technical Education National Board of Accreditation and National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an A grade.

In 2023, AIT Pune ranked 55 out of 281 colleges in India according to India Today. It also placed in the 151-200 rank band in the National Institutional Ranking Framework for engineering.

AIT Pune has achieved positive placement outcomes. In 2020 highest salary offered was Rs 39 LPA and average was Rs 7.30 LPA. Out of 342 students registered for placements that year 313 secured jobs through 68 companies.
