Kalyan PG College is located in Bhilai Nagar, Bhilai. It was established in 1963. It is one of the largest constituent colleges of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University in Raipur.
Kalyan PG College offers 17 post-graduate courses, 26 undergraduate courses, 6 PG diploma courses, 1 diploma course and 6 doctoral programs. It also has study centers for BEd courses affiliated with IGNOU and Sundar Lal Sharma Open University.
College has over 3000 students and a faculty of around 40. There are over 120 research students in the Faculty of Education and around 100 PhD scholars across many faculties. It is affiliated with Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya and Pt. Ravishankar University.
The college has been recognized by the University Grants Commission. In 2010 it received "College with Potential for Excellence" status. Facilities include a health center, a library with more than 100,000 books, a gym, an auditorium and hostel accommodations.
Students gain admission based on academic performance. It has been accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade and is recognized by UGC.
