The institute was established in the year 2008 in the city of Kanpur. It is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University and approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi.
The institute covers a total area of 22 acres offering both under graduate courses and post graduate courses. The total strength of the college is that of 450 students. It is a privare institute run by Gyan Ganga Society.

Krishna Institute of Technology has its own Training and Placement Cell which functions in conjunction with the Corporate Skills Development Cell which invites companies like Aptean,, HCL, Llyod, Convergys etc for recruitment drives.
STEP 1: Employability Skills are taught to students under three segments: Interview Skills, Soft Skills and Life Skills. Some of the important skills covered under these sections are: Communication, résumé writing, professionalism, self motivation and others.
STEP 2: Lectures, interviews and tests are conducted from time to time.
STEP 3: Industrial tours are conducted in different cities for an expansive experience.
The Highest Package goes up to Rs 15 lakh per annum. Although no Internship opportunity is provided by the college.

Application and Admission Procedure
HOW TO APPLY:
The minimum eligibility criterion to apply to this college is 50% marks in intermediate for general category and 45% marks for candidates under reserved category. The candidates need to fill up an online application form available on the official website and pay a certain amount of fee mentioned on the form.
ONLINE MODE: The fees can be paid through plastic money i.e. debit/credit card.
OFFLINE MODE: The fees can be paid though bank challan or e- banking system as well the details of which are available on the institute’s website.

The candidates are granted admission only on the basis merits obtained in UPSEE examination which is held in the month of April.
For admission to MBA programs in the institute the scores obtained in CAT/CMAT etc. are accepted. There is no interview round for under graduate selection process. Admission shall be granted after final counselling session and verification of documents.
Hostel and Facilities
The campus is categorised into 4 blocks namely block-A, block-B, block-C and block-D excluding the hostel and sprawls over an area of 10.5 acres.
The library is located in block A which has a good stock of more than 27000 books related to engineering and management and around 25 Indian and international journals. They are automated with the help of RAMLIB library management software system. The study room remains open during college hours with an exception of till 9pm when the examination goes on.

To pursue MBA at Krishna Institute Of Technology(351) students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
