Scholarships

Pre-Admission Scholarship:

Applicable to students who have secured more than 80% marks in their qualifying examination (10+2 or graduation) and have cleared the entrance test conducted by IITM.
Scholarship amount: Rs. 20,000 per annum for BBA and BCA courses and Rs. 40,000 per annum for MBA and MCA courses.

In-house Scholarship:

Awarded to students who have performed well in their academic and co-curricular activities at IITM.
Scholarship amount varies from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 50,000 per annum, depending on the course and student performance.

External Scholarships:

Available to students who belong to certain categories or have availed specific schemes from the government or other organizations.
Some external scholarships that IITM students can apply for include:
- Merit cum Means Scholarship for students pursuing professional courses sponsored by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
- Scholarship schemes for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) sponsored by various state governments.
- Scholarship Scheme Sponsored by Indian Society of Accounting and Management (ISAM) for MBA students.
- Java Satya Pramoda Nidhi (JSPN) Scholarship for BCA students sponsored by JSPN Foundation.
- NTPC Scholarship for Engineering Students sponsored by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
- Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
- Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities sponsored by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
- Financial Support to the Students of North Eastern Region (NER) for Higher Professional Courses (NEC Merit Scholarship) sponsored by North Eastern Council (NEC) .
