Malnad College Of Engineering (MCE) Hassan

Malnad College of Engineering is located in Hassan. It was established in 1960 through a collaboration between the Government of India the Government of Karnataka and the Malnad Technical Education Society. The institute is a government-aided entity affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University.

The campus covers an area of 41.28 acres. The college motto is "Nothing is equal to Knowledge." It provides many programs including 9 Bachelor's degrees in Engineering, 5 Master's degrees in Technology, MSc (Engg.) by Research, Ph.D and MCA. Bachelor of Engineering is flagship course offered. Available departments comprise Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Information Science, among others.

Malnad College of Engineering enrolls approximately 4000 students and has a faculty strength of around 30 to 40.

Admissions for BE programs require Karnataka Common Entrance Test (K-CET) scores. M.Tech admissions consider GATE scores. The National Board of Accreditation and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council accredit the college. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
