Guru Nanak Institute Of Pharmaceutical Science And Technology (GNIPST) Kolkata

The Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (GNIPST) is located in Kolkata. It is a private institute established in 2005. Guru Nanak Education Trust founded institute. GNIPST is situated in Kolkata and is an unaided private institute.

It is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) approve the institute. It has also received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

GNIPST offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The institute runs five postgraduate programs in Pharmacy, covering Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. The flagship program is the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).

The student body consists of 469 students supported by a faculty of 42 members.

GNIPST has a Training and Placement cell for student placement assistance. Top recruiters include Nestle, MedPlus, Apollo Pharmacy, Wipro, Caplet, Cognizant, Sparsh, Dr. Reddy's and Zuventus.

Institute accepts many entrance examinations for undergraduate admissions, including West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Common Entrance Examination AMPAI. For M.Pharm admissions, candidates must pass the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET), or CEE AMPAI.

In 2023 GNIPST was ranked 87th in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for Pharmacy. The institute maintained a CGPA of 2.7 with Grade B during its NAAC accreditation in March 2016.

Facilities include laboratories, a library, an auditorium, a canteen, a museum and a gym.
