Institute Of Engineering And Technology (IET) Lucknow

The Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow (IET Lucknow) is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is a government-aided institute established in 1984 by government of Uttar Pradesh. The institute is on Sitapur Road and serves as a constituent college of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Previously it was affiliated with The University of Lucknow from 1984 until 1999. Presently IET operates as an autonomous institute.

IET Lucknow offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Its main program is Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), available in specializations like Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. Also, institute provides M.Tech, MBA and MCA programs.

The institute features different facilities, including a library, computer center, gymnasium, dispensary and hostels for boys and girls. All hostel accommodations are on-campus.

IET Lucknow accepts many entrance exam scores for admissions. B.Tech admissions rely on JEE Main scores and UPTAC Counselling. M.Tech admissions require GATE scores while CUET PG scores are necessary for MBA and MCA applications.

The institute has approvals from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

In terms of ranking IET Lucknow was ranked 91 for B.Tech by IIRF in 2023.

In 2023 IET Lucknow reported strong placement results with 382 students placed. Highest off-campus package was INR 1.2 crore per annum (CPA) while highest on-campus package reached INR 49 lakh per annum (LPA). The average package offered was INR 8.2 LPA.
