University Institute of Technology Burdwan is a government institute that is established in the year 1999. This campus is approved by University Grants Commission, AICTE and affiliated by University of Burdwan, Bardhaman.

This institute is spread across over 400 acres of land with well-equipped labs, library, gym, classes, sports facilities, canteen, hostels, transportation, health care center and more. The institute offers 6 departments through which it provides undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses.

Hostel Facilities

The campus accomodates four boys hostel named ‘Banabas Hostel’, ‘Banabas Hostel (new), ‘Professor Satyendra Nath Bose Boys’ Hostel’ & ‘201 Seated (new) Boys’ Hostel’. Around 80% of the boys are allotted for the seats in the hostels. There is a girls hostel named ‘Madam Curie Girls’ Hostel’. 100% girls are allotted the hostel room except for the localites. The first year boys hostel is situated in a separate campus. The studnets can also avail the university bus services for the trasnport within the hostel. The wide campus also provides free access to the wifi for all the hostlers.

Other facilities

Apart from the hostel facilites, there are medical facilites in which there are 24 health services for the students. There are various extra- curricular activities such as debates, drama, quizes, essays, writing, music and so on for the studnets. The computing facilities are also available along with research laboratories, internet access centers, library, sports club, canteens and so on.
