Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam, is a State Public University established in 1972 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Campus covers 168 acres in area.
The institute offers different academic programs such as diploma, PG diplomas, 7 undergraduate programs and 23 postgraduate and PhD programs across three constituent colleges.
The university over 1,350 postgraduate students and 27 research scholars pursuing M. Phil. and PhD degrees. The university has departmental-based laboratories and other facilities like a library, IT infrastructure, an auditorium, a gym, parking, medical services and a cafeteria.
For admission into the LLB and integrated B.A.LLB courses, candidates must rank in the LAWCET, which is an online state-level law entrance exam. Most postgraduate admissions require performance in the Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET).
University is recognized by UGC and NCTE. It has received NAAC B++ accreditation. University engages in national and international collaborations through MOUs for academic and research programs, internships and diploma courses.
Placements - Around 60-70 percent of students secure placements each year. The average placement package in 2021 was 4 LPA with companies like Wipro and HCL participating in campus recruitment.
