It offers undergraduate postgraduate and doctoral courses across different disciplines. The disciplines include Engineering & Technology, Arts, Science and Commerce. University has 53 departments and offers 72 different PG courses along with diploma and certificate programs. It supports approximately 2000 students in postgraduate courses.
It has many research centers and around 400 faculty members. The university provides many facilities, like a library, sports complex, hostels, auditorium, gymnasium, seminar hall and laboratories.
Admission requires passing entrance or qualifying exams. Undergraduate programs include B.Tech, B.Pharm and BEd Postgraduate programs include M.Tech, MA, M.Sc, MBA and Integrated MTech The Common Entrance Tests (SVUCET) are conducted for admissions.
The university holds an "A+" Grade accreditation from NAAC. It is recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE, Pharmacy Council of India, NCTE, Bar Council of India and South Eastern Regional Office (SERO).
The NIRF ranked it 60th among universities in 2023. University has MoUs with over five foreign universities for academic and research collaborations.
Placements - Highest pay offered was INR 6 LPA in year 2020. More than 60% of students secured placements. Corporations like Cognizant, Dell, IBM and Wipro conducted recruitment drives at the campus.
